First and foremost, I want to thank the daycare that accepted my internship and allowed me to experience firsthand the intricate responsibility it is to be a childcare professional. The support I received from the owner and director and also the other fellow professionals was more than I could’ve wished for. Their suggestions were not only helpful, but also very insightful and applicable to what activities I had to plan and take part in. The parents were also very friendly and were definitely willing to work with me whether in the daycare setting or when I paid home visits.
The field of child education and care is a tough one to be a professional in, and it will get even tougher with all the budget cuts that are being done across the nation as a result of the recession. Now, with even more imminent adversity, colleagues in this field need to band together and be supportive of one another. Together, working as one, we can succeed in making the most of our limited resources that ultimately aren’t for our own benefit but for the benefit of the young ones, who are our future and should be protected at all costs

  1. You're right about the early childhood field is tough to be in not only with all the budget cuts, but with everything else we have to deal with and under pay, but then again if we were doing it for the money we would of never got where we are now. Best of luck to you!!!

  2. I appreciate the support from everyone when it came to the feedback on our questions and concerns. I hope your presentation went well and that you learned very valuable things from it. Classroom blogs are always very helpful to get feedback from fellow students. I really appreciate everyone's feedback so that I could better my plan and my presentation as a whole. Best wishes and happy holidays!
